 Jasmine Patrice Brown

I attend Lindblom Math and Science Academy where I am ranked number seven in my graduating class. I am a member of the National Honor Society at Lindblom Math & Science Academy with a 4.3 GPA. I have over 140 service learning hours. I plan to attend the University of Minnesota Twin Cites in the fall where I will be majoring in Pre-Pharmacy. I would like to become a pharmacist and eventually be able to open up my own pharmacy where I can help make medicine more affordable for low-income individuals. I enjoy the subjects of math and science. I have worked at the University of Chicago as a researcher; I was working on college research as a high school student. I volunteered at the Children's Museum and I volunteered at the Museum of Science and Industry where I learned about Nano Technology and its implications. I also tutored children at Nicholson Elementary School in Englewood.  I put forth all my effort into all that I do and have great expectations for my future.

 Hattie Phillips (Kirsten)

In the past few years I’ve lost my grandmother, and my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Seeing so much sickness go on around me, I made up in my mind that I wanted to help people. I want to reach people around the world through music and health care by helping people do the things in life that they’ve always wanted to do, just like me. Going to one of the top high schools in the country, Homewood-Flossmoor, I’ve become more studious and appreciate the opportunity of education. Although I haven’t made up my mind, I plan on attending either the University of Missouri or Georgia State University, Majoring in Pediatric Nursing. Being accepted into all the colleges that I applied to has made me realize that I am about to embark on a journey that will be the start of the rest of my life. Overcoming adversity in my life has only made me stronger and more ambitious. It’s made me realize that whatever it is that I want to be in life, I want to succeed at it.

Morgan White

I am a seventeen year old senior that attends Bolingbrook High School. I have a passion for languages. I have studied, Spanish, Tagalog (Filipino), Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and Sign Language, the majority of them being taught via self-learning books. I have also been involved in many community activities and enrichment programs, including: Alpha Missionary Baptist Church Usher Board, Sign Language Choir, Children’s Youth Choir, and I have also assisted in the church office as well. In my free time, I love to play sports (I.e. Soccer, Tennis, Volleyball, Baseball, etc...) hanging out with friends, going to the movies, shopping at malls, and just living life.  My favorite quote: “Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery, Today is a Gift, that’s why it is called the Present”. I have not decided what college I will attend, but I plan to major in International Studies/Affairs.
